So you're saying that if you use the php3.ini Midgard is no longer
active?

No entries in php3.ini are required, and no entry in php3.ini should be
able to affect Midgard. I can see nothing wrong with this php3.ini
file.

In the phpinfo page you created, did you see an entry for
mgd_get_midgard?
