I didn't know about the non-redirecting upon finding an extension so I wrongly supposed the correct URL would be [bla-bla]/something.pdf/ - I send some inline parameters and since for a directory something?var=val doesn't work I went on as usual and wrote the link the wrong way: something.pdf/?var=val which resulted in what I previously described. Sorry for wasting your time - but you helped a poor misinformed soul! :-) Thank you!
