Hi Fred I would agree with Tony on this. We looked at a number of content management systems including Zope and Plone which is a very slick CMS built on top of Zope. We eventually narrowed it down to a choice between EzPublish, APC, Plone and Midgard with Plone and Midgard being the most impressive of the 4. Plone with Zope is a very impressive CMS with a very large active developer Community and a huge range of different tools out there. Python looks like it is a great language as well so if you had python skills going with Plone would be a good option however as we were much more familiar with php, mysql and apache and we very impressed by the support from the midgard community we chose to go with midgard and it has proved to be a very good choice. There is a bit of a learning curve as there some serious lacks in the documentation for midgard but support from the mailing list is great and once you get the hang of how it works it is a great system. We have a been trying to document! our project so far you can see the CMS evaluation results at least at www.sydney.wilderness.org.au/docs
