Regarding the error , this looks like the Ranger Hive Plugin is not able to 
connect to Ranger Admin to download policy. Please check that ranger 
configuration files and see values especially the URL for there Ranger Service 
is correct.

Regarding this error , what version of Hive do you use? Check that it is not 
any compatibility issue or missing jars etc.
