I think a good reference book would be great too. I like Shiro but it is
definitely lacking on the documentation side. I would like it to include:

- A thorough description of its internals to make the reader understand how
Shiro works and also how to extend Shiro
- The most important use cases. For me that is not traditional server based
web programming but clean Ajax and REST. I think these areas (especially
Ajax) needs improvement in Shiro. On the REST side I think its important to
give some hints on best practice.
