Why syslog default output in log4j2 conf of storm 0.10.0?

Dear all,
 
While looking into Storm 0.10.0 code, I found out that syslog appender is set 
to one of the default outputs, which I think is not proper for default settings.
 
Of course it may help users who already uses storm logs in such way, but I am 
wondering how many people are gathering storm logs via syslog.
 
Do you have any opinion regarding this?
