your page will not be found (or indexed) by any search engine you have to recode all (ALL!) links in your page with javascript to submit forms you will completely switch of browser cashes (whether you want it or not) back button will be disabled you will have to route every action through a single servlet/action is it enough? :-) regards Leon p.s. mod_rewrite is a apache module which allows you to rewrite urls with reg expressions.
