Currently searching, I found something that might be related : it's a security fix about "recursive OGNL parsing" http://struts.apache.org/2.x/docs/s2-001.html (related to WebWork bug WW-2030).
As I can read: *As of XWork 2.0.4, the OGNL parsing is changed so that it is not recursive* ... is my problem.
