I am currently trying to get a working implementation of VCL. My initial
attempt was to install VCL behind our firewall on our blades and locate
the web, db and management servers on a separate blade running vmware, I
have not been able to get that to work (I will post about that separately .
Currently, I am just trying to get the stand alone version to work on a
single blade that is not behind the campus firewall.

The instruction requirements state VMware Server 2.0.2 is
required however when you try to install VMware it does not work with
CentOS 6.3 VMware server is EOL and needs an earlier version of gcc and
header files. I have not found a work around.

Is there a later version of something similar to VMware Server that will
work, or am I better of with an earlier version of Centos, for example 5.9.
What is a version of Centos that definitely works with VMware server 2.02?

I am on a very short time-line so I am looking for something that will work.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Alvin
