Thank you for your answer,
Is there a way to configure the WSO2 DataServices server in order to read the x-forwarded header so that I can use throttling behind a reverse proxy?

Tomcat valves cannot be dynamically added in the previous WSO2 AS releases. However, this feature is available in the trunk as well as the recent 4.5 M2 preview release. http://builder1.us1.wso2.org/~carbontrunk/releases/carbon/wso2as-4.5.0-SNAPSHOT_M2/ <http://builder1.us1.wso2.org/%7Ecarbontrunk/releases/carbon/wso2as-4.5.0-SNAPSHOT_M2/>

    Hi again,

I have an apache as a reverse proxy before my WSO2 DataServices
and I would like to use the Throttling feature on a web service,
the problem is that the server only sees the reverse proxy IP address.
There is a Tomcat valve that can help with that
    "org.apache.catalina.valves.RemoteIpValve". *
I tried to configure this valve in the context file inside
$WSO2_HOME/lib/tomcat/conf but it doesn't work. I have the feeling
this file is not used by the server since I intentionally left an
open XML tag open in the file to see if it would crash but it doesn't.
I looked in the other configuration files but wasn't able to find
any pertinent parameter related to this, am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks

    Ulises
