Hi,
I'm having trouble getting the RMI adaptor of this component to work. I'm
running a JNDI service on port 1099 so when RMI adaptor tries to start it
fails because MX4J starts an RMI registry on port 1099. From MX4J docs I see
that the port it uses for its RMI registry is configurable but I can't see a
way of configuring that port in MX4JSystemManager.
I think what I'd really like to do is have the RMI adaptor register itself
with my JNDI server. Then I guess my next preferred option would be to patch
MX4JSystemManager so that the RMI registry port is configurable. I'd be
quite happy to submit such a patch.
So can anyone tell me:
a) Whether I can get the RMI adaptor to register with my JNDI server instead
of starting its own RMI registry?
b) How to configure the port that the RMI registry uses?
c) Failing a) and b) where the instructions on how to submit a patch are
Cheers
Dan
