First of all - my appologies for being such a RPITA with respect to all of the CVS commits over the last couple of weeks. Its just that with a release on the hoirizon I really want to close of things before we bump the version up to a release. The tolerance/persistence you have show todate is appreciated/recognized and things should settle down once the release is done.
My goals are:
1) To contribute in porting James to Merlin
I am current running James CVS HEAD using all of the cornerstone and Excalibur released content. I can provide you with a block definition for James if your interested. The current issues to be deal with are (a) support in Merlin for logging functionality equivalent to Excalibur Logging, and (b) resolution with the James community of actions concerning HEAD versus the main dev branch. In the meantime - the James version I'm running is working just fine and is used as one of a series of operational test cases for every build of Merlin - in fact 99% of the messages I send and receive are via James running as an NT service on the latest build of Merlin.
2) To write a James RMI remote manager
When I'll start with Merlin, I would be happy to contribute with some activities, if needed.
Have some thoughts on this but I'll reply to your reply to Niclas' email.
