I am currently porting our Avalon Application to use Merlin as it container.
Perviously we had a make shit home grown container.
In this container we would use ConfigurationException as a way to exit the
application if it wasn't setup properly.
However, merlin appears to keep running, and even seems to be in a wierd
state.
Merlin will not deploy a component if a lifecycle exception is thrown.
Can you post your block definition?
