Well, I have embarked on this kind of thinking in the past and realized that one makes oneself a "Bear Favour", ending up with a maintenance headache in the long-run. It is much more advisable to keep an open dialog with the community, and see how we can provide what you are looking for in a general and long-term sustainable manner.

As Niclas suggests, keep an open dialog with the community here through the mailing lists, and remember that the squeaky wheel gets oiled. ;)
