I can't help with the error message, but the source can be found in the Subversion repository at;
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/avalon/trunk/planet/facilities/http
or if you don't have and don't want to install subversion, you can also find it under CVS at
:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvspublic co avalon-components
and then in facilities/http directory.
Note, you milage of building either of these sources will vary. The only way for me to ensure a success is that you check out from the Subversion repository the entire avalon module, "/repos/asf/avalon/trunk", go to the top directory and do;
ant setup ant
which will build everything, but in a reasonable amount of time.
