The http package is org.apache.avalon.http which is a facility that automatically redirects http requests to components (which may not be what you are looking for). As for "org.apache.avalon.merlin.http" - there is nothing released under that package name.

My problem is now that i can't find the source for the class above.
Neither can I.
I'll be digging into this to try and figure out where you are and where we are. Bottom line - http has never been released but I figure we can solve your problems one way or another. Give me 24 hours and I'll come back from a digging expedition and from there we can establish a solution.
