Have you guys tried Google Scholar? (http://scholar.google.com). I have come to depend on it for finding published references quickly - much more quickly than using any other bibliographic search services, or indeed than my locally installed bibliographic database (which has all the refs I need). It links to the academic publishers where you can get access to full papers.
