Peristeras,

Endnote does not work as well with Openoffice as it does for MS Windows. The
Endnote developers would need to build better Openoffice support, there is
not much we can do about it.

The Endnote web site suggests that Endnote (versions 6-8) works in two modes -

1. Cite While You Write: Microsoft Word 2000, XP, or 2003.

2. RTF Document Scan: works with other word processors that can save documents
to Rich Text Format, including WordPerfect, StarOffice, OpenOffice,
FrameMaker and more.

I do not know about version 4 or whether it has the ' RTF Document Scan'
process.

So to use Endnote with Openoffice you need to find out about the ' RTF
Document Scan' process.

I hope this is of some help

David
