Sorry, dunno.  Looks like things might have changed in 0.9 so hopefully someone 
else can give you a better answer.  All I know is that all of my 0.8.12 Windows 
slaves behave this way.  My master runs on a POSIX system and I've never tried 
a master on Windows.
