Hi Craig, On don't have the feeling the lack of gridview is a major disincentive for upgrade.
I myself not really understood what gridview was about and how it was different from console view. When we started nine UI plugins, we decided waterfall and console were the two dashboard important to port. I am fully open to revise this position. I did open an issue https://github.com/buildbot/buildbot/issues/3084 in order to gather feedback of what people need as a dashboard.
