Hi camel-snmp is using an older 2.x version of snmp4j and it may be limited what it can do.
there is a 3.x version of snmp4j https://www.snmp4j.org/ And it would be good to get camel-snmp upgraded to use this newer version. Help with this is appreciated. https://camel.apache.org/community/contributing/ I suggest you look at https://www.snmp4j.org/ and see what it can do about v3 traps. As it must be supported in snmp4j before we can support it too in Camel.
