It depends how you look at it and how much "product upgradability"
counts towards its "production readiness".
For example RedHat's RHEL major versions cannot be upgraded, but this
does not make it any less production ready.
I think a good rule of thumb for any software if you are serious about
production is to stay away from .0 releases.
