For me is also a good option to migrate manually from vSphere but not sure how to update the cloudstack db with the new host location for the VM. (VM should be in stopped state) 1. Stop the VM(In case it's running). 2. Start the VM. 3. Before starting, it will give you a list of hosts. 4. Choose a different host of the same cluster. 5. It would deploy the VM in the chosen host. If you want to do a live migration. (VM should be in running state) (I assume you are looking for this) 1. In UI, there is a button like a plus(+) sign. 2. Post selection of that button, It would give you a list of suitable hosts to migrate. 3. Select a different host of the same cluster, where you want to migrate. 4. Voila.. The VM would be migrated to that host without any downtime. Note: The target host must have enough capacity available to deploy the VM, else it would fail. Sateesh, Correct me If I am wrong.
