Hi Nux, Following Nick's recommendation, I've prepared a focused patch that adds SHA-512 verification of the downloaded Debian 13 cloud image before customization. I verified that a fresh image matches Debian's current SHA512SUMS manifest. My local tests also confirmed that a valid image is accepted and a modified image is rejected; I tested missing, duplicate, and malformed checksum entries using local fixtures as well. The patch passes the Bash syntax check and applies cleanly to the upstream build-script snapshot I downloaded. I haven't run the complete image build or deployed the resulting template in a CloudStack environment, so runtime validation is still pending.
