Len You'll have to be a little more specific here - what do you want the sitemap to "do" for you and why?
If you have not already done, suggest you read up on the sitemap at: http://cocoon.apache.org/2.0/userdocs/concepts/sitemap.html From the tone of this question, you seem also to be looking for sub-sitemaps - see the section on "Mounting sitemaps".
