I've been lurking on #cocoon on irc.freenode.net - there is basically no-one

sharing, I don't understand why the channel is empty!

Or am I silly and there is a channel on some other irc network? If not, get onto
that channel and stay there, dang nabbit! :)

The problem with IRC for community projects is that one has to be there before he is aware of something happening. Using mailing lists, discussion can happen every hour of the day, and people can leasurely connect, participate and disconnect, without missing anything.
