attached) but I load different icons at tree leaf level depending on
if the layer is editable to this user's account. Then when they click
on the layer to make it visible, I have loadstart and loadend
registered events on the layers to switch the icon to a wait wheel
and back again.
I also use the same method with point symbols where a layer
represents a single data type (see tree_symbol.jpg attached). I use
the symbol image at the tree leaf level.
