Hi all, just to inform you there are plans to upgrade GeoExt to be compatible to OpenLayers v6 and there is already a work-in-progress PR by @simonseyock [1]. In case you want to discuss, share thoughts or keep informed there is an issue in the GeoExt github repo [2].
