Try opening Writer or one of the other apps and go to

Tools - Options - LibreOffice/General - Java

Hopefully you will already see at least 2 different versions of Java already 
installed on your machine and therefore listed.  Choose the one that is closest 
to version 6u21.  

It's possible to keep the latest version of java which you need for your 
web-browsers and stuff but you can download and install the 6u21 version so 
that only LibreOffice can access it using the Tools - Options.  The 6u20 and 
6u22 are also good but the 6u21 is best.  

If you have trouble downloading the older version please just ask as someone 
here might be able to help with that.  I couldn't find the download site that 
other people have pointed to previously.
