The integration of hsqldb2 had already been prepared during Oracle's tenure, it was thereafter a matter of integrating the child workspace of the relevant code. Moreover, AOOo have dropped future bundling of the Oracle ReportBuilder extension because of licensing problems with some of the Pentaho libraries, as with the mysql native connector.
