Our plan here is to add DRMAA v2.0 support as soon as possible. The standard needs to be finalized at least for that.
Yes, other API requirements are welcome, either to check whether DRMAA v2.0 is up to the job or to see what other areas do require a public and stable interface.

it would be useful to collect information about what to copy/avoid from LSF, PBS, OAR&c in an implementation. I noted it as an RFE at https://arc.liv.ac.uk/trac/SGE/ticket/835. People who know could contribute info under that ticket or anywhere else appropriate, like the gridengine.info wiki.
