If "Son of Grid Engine" and "Open Grid Scheduler" can't come together as a community, how do you think tossing in another third-party would make this any better?
Overall, I think this (Univa taking over from Oracle) is a very, very good thing, and long overdue. Given Oracle's support of this transition it is probably the best thing that's happened to GE for many years. I just wish there were a "community" edition of Univa Grid Engine and that Son of Grid Engine and Open Grid Scheduler could consolidate under a single "community" moniker and get help from the company "Where Grid Engine Lives". I've been going through Son of Grid Engine code, looking to contribute, and I just wish I didn't have to choose which fork of the original Sun Grid Engine to work with. I'm not moving all that fast but it'd just be nice that if I actually _did_ do anything worthwhile that community would benefit and that the community won't have moved on to a closed source option. I know there's history and all. I've been on this list for a long time.
