Hi Krist and thanks for the response. Well in that case I'm not sure
what the problem may be. From the terminal here is what I see

As you can see the Stock share is readable by everyone. When I
traverse the directory and take a look at all the subfolders and down
to the actual image in question they are all 'R' by owner, group,
other yet I still get the you don't have permissions to access on
this server.

There is no need to make it RWX. The user apache runs as must be able
to read the folder and its content. So either
- have every folder world readable.
- have every folder readable by the group the apache user belongs to.
