mod_rpaf works fine with 2.2/2.4, mod_remoteip works with 2.2 if you backport it, or your distributor provides a package for it. Both exist in FreeBSD's port repository, so it is likely that ubuntu also does. Neither are included in 2.2, so you will need to install additional packages.
