We have had reports that are AI-inspired and it looks liek some PRs are
AI assisted.
I've used copilot to convert over half of the JUnit3 usage to JUnit 5/6.
(To converting Junit4 to JUnit6, I use a perl script.)
Any contribution is still the personal responsibility of the submitter.
AI is a tool. There isn't a new route whereby AI is committing to the
codebase.
Good use of AI is also to use its research and problem solving. I see
reports across OSS projects where reports are huge - whatever text
Claude et al is writing.
That still takes a human to process and that can't all be on the
reviewers. Again, there is a responsibility of the reporter to produce
something focused, like any good report. Provide everything as an
appendix, not as the sole description.

give us a quick update on what that means? Are changes proposed dynamically
by Copilot for approval and tabled for merging? Or was this just an
independent development branch that caused some concern in the recent
release?
