now, we need more details... mainly debug level logs that show the behaviour you claim to be a problem.
In addition if you strongly think this is a bug, please file a bug report to http://bugs.kannel.org/. That the "general" place to file in.
The problem as you state "may" be thread concurrency, but this can only be the case if you massively have IO on bearerbox. A couple of thousand msgs per hour doesn't mean any massive traffic. Massive traffic is something like > 400 msg/sec.
I have already checked the throughput on both sides and I haven't been able to use the dlr reports yet, because I have to recompile kannel.
Why is that? Are you using a distro package?
