Right now I am using the Huawei E220 but it becomes unresponsive a few times in a day and it needs to unplugged and plugged back in the USB port to work again. I send and receive thousands of sms messages a day and need something reliable. It looks like many people recommend Wavecom modems, but they are serial and they would be too slow IMO. What modem do you recommend that can handle at least 10 000 messages a day? Also could it be that the Huawei E220 is becoming unresponsive because I'm pushing it's limits (too many sms messages?)
