Hi Albert,
I configured my testbed as advised. I can see ping packets from the MN getting
to the CN but once the reply gets to the PxTR, it doesn't get forwarded to the
MN. I have a feeling that the problem is from the PxTR configuration.

 Hi Albert,
I am a bit confused here. When you say "xTR:
   - Set IP of PiTR and PeTR
" Do you meant that I should have both the lispmob-pxtr and
lispmob-experimental packages compiled on the pxtr node? Because, on the
lispmob-pxtr package there is no option to set it as xTR, that option only
exists on lispmob-experimental.
Secondly, your point:"PxTR
   - Set "pxtr-mode = on"
   - The database-mapping structure of the configuration file is reused to
indicate the prefixes that will be lisp encapsulated by the PiTR
" If I put the EID prefix of the mobile node here, is it okay to comment out
the remaining parameters, such as interface, priority_v4 etc or I have to
provide an interface (now which interface?)?
And lastly, the MS and PxTR are hosted on different nodes, is the configuration
of my MS correctly done?
Thank you.

  Hi Musab

To configure the PxTR you should use the following instructions:

 xTR:

   - Set IP of PiTR and PeTR
 PxTR

   - Set "pxtr-mode = on"
   - The database-mapping structure of the configuration file is reused to
indicate the prefixes that will be lisp encapsulated by the PiTR
You also have to configure the routing of your testbed in order that packets
whose destinations are EIDs are sent to the PiTR. Let me know if this solve
your problem

 Albert

  Hi Albert,
I have configured lisp MN, MS and PxTR. The communication between the MN and
the MS seems to be working well as I can see the 'map register' and 'map
notify' messages being sent and received. But once I attempt to ping a
correspondent node, I get no response from the PxTR. I have provided my
configurations for all the 3 nodes and the logs below. Can you please follow
the links to see if you can determine what the problem is?

    Hi Musab,

Just one clarification. When LISPmob works as a MS/MR, the MR will only reply
to the mappings configured in the MS. It doesn't interact with ddt nodes.

 Best regards

 Albert

    Hi Musab,

Sure it is! You can checkout the branch 'experimental' [1] which includes
support for MS/MR. Make sure to enable Map Server operation in lispd.conf and
to fill out all the required parameters there. Likewise the 'pxtr' branch,
experimental is not released yet and may contain bugs.

  Best,
 Alberto

  Hi Alberto,
Thanks for your reply. Is it also possible to setup a map-server locally? I
want to have a full lisp mobile node network in the lab please.

       Hi Musab,

In order to use LISPmob as a PxTR you should checkout the branch 'pxtr' [1]
and follow lispd.conf.example instructions to configure it. Note well that
PxTR code has not been officially released and has gone thought little
testing. We offer it as a best effort, but we can provide little support. The
PxTR feature will be eventually merged into the upcoming 5.0 release.

  Best,
  Alberto

  Hi,
I recently learned that I can set up a PxTR in the lab with the new
lispmob-experimental (potentially lispmob 0.5.0). I have downloaded the
package but can't set up the tunnel router and other relevant components as
there is no documentation yet. Can someone please guide me towards setting up
LISP locally in the lab?
  Thank you,
