I usually edit it in /etc/grub.conf, then if it doesn't work, I can
choose to edit it back in at boot time.  B^)   6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the
other.  Then again, my grub.conf configures me enough time to decide to
edit or not.  YMMV.
