I found Fedora just seems to work by default. Change video cards, plug
in monitor(s) and it works.
The only issue I have had was selecting which monitor had the login
prompt for a presentation system with kdm.
I only use KDE so my comments are based on working with KDE. Setting
the monitor is done through the system settings from the menu.
I have had the same issue with computers using a built in mother board
video driver and a video card. Fedora finds what monitors are connected
to what card and auto configures everything.
I would try and then ask more specific questions.
