Hi, I know this sounds crazy, the search paths were definitely ok. There was a post on the Ingres webforums almost two years ago. Just to convince myself that I am not imagining this I searched the forums and found the reference in http://opensource.ca.com/projects/ingres/forum/10/218365315058?b_start:int=0#140769111459
I don't know how to get a link to the emssage within the thread, it is a short one written by sarjo01 on 2006-Aug-30. I encountered the same problem building Ingres2006 on a relatively freshly installed machine.
