I also highly recommend ISPConfig. It helps with the configuration and management of the system. But you still have a huge learning curve in front of you. There is no shortcut to learning details of all of these tools, so that you can make them work together, and for ongoing maintenance. Steve Dondley was also correct about the ongoing need to check RBLs and occasionally contact list providers to get your IP address removed.
