Sounds like firewall or virus scan problems. I used to have the same kind of problems when updating eclipse. A workaround might be to set up some kind of maven repository/proxy (I use Archiva) Manually installing problem files into Archiva if needed.

It's highly frustrating for me, as it makes an otherwise excellent build system feel like endless trial-and-error. Any help greatly appreciated!
