Ok I tried mvn assembly:assembly -DdescriptorId=bin (the doc is wrong btw, it refers to -Dmaven.assembly.descriptorId=bin). Is there a way in formats no specify no packaging at all, I want my assembly expanded in a specific directory. BTW the formats clause has no doc at all in the assembly documentation. Thanks, Pierre
