Downloaded the maven plugin also from http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/ http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/update-dev/ http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/update/ (Site given by Apache itself)
Tried from http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/modules.php too But could not install it as all these versions are COMPLIANT with Eclipse 3.1 and above.
