how about adding a "supported phone" database here? in order to have a clear table with phones that have been tested.
BTW, I'd like to have that then having 2 attributes, like:
* phone XYZ tested via Kannel WAP GW 1.x.x
* phone XYZ tested via Mbuni MMS GW 1.x.x

Bah, if you want to maintain it, feel free to, but big companies are
spending big bucks to analyze in the scary details how phones are
interoperable with each other and it's a very complex task:
 - depends on the content you make transit (number of slides in the MMS,
text, audio, format of audio, video, format of the video, encodings,
   ...)
 - depends on phone hardware, OS, language
 - depends on used MMS-C

Having a small list of phones "tested with Mbuni" is nice, but it won't
cover the full range of bugs one encounters when playing with MMS
 clients.

I think that Mbuni should simply list the standards it follows, and the
 biggest problem in the FAQ.

now, your point is right... in some sence, but not fully and purely... I'm aiming towards getting Mbuni to the same position as Kannel in terms of reference acceptance.

Remember, Kannel is one of the 3 known official REFPOOL gateways. Hence any new phone that want's to obtain WAP/OMA certification has to be postively tested via Kannel.

I aim to get Mbuni towards that perspective too. Getting it to a sort of "de-facto reference implemenation" in terms of MMSC.
