I am still at the point where mbuni activates the pppd, the connection
"seems" to be successful but no data is sent nor received.

All seems to point to some error on the pppd connection indeed, and I would
like to ask if you could post a example configuration of a pppd connection
to a MMSC Operator APN.

Below I am posting my own configuration, data gathered from the operator,
and log connection for ppp0 interface.

It may be that you are using the wrong GPRS APN, or that your operator
has a proxy that must be used to fetch the content. In that case, you
must add a proxy=host:port to the custom settings.

This module is still a little dodgy, but should improve with time :)
