JSCookMenu active menu item

Hello:
   
  For JSCookMenu, when a user  clicks a menu item, I like it to be highlighted. 
I looked at the NavigationMenuItem, it does not have concept of current(active) 
item, and thus there is no such style class.  
   
  Is there a way to do that?
