I'm stumped then. I've had the problem of "mysterious missing dependencies"
before, and it always came back to them missing from maven-metadata.xml.

In any case, if anyone out there can't get them all they need to do is
download the source and build it locally like I did.

I know this lists gets archived in several web sites, so now (or very soon)
the workaround will be a google search away.
