The JDK is local, and only used to run NetBeans. It won't conflict with any other JDK installation. You can register other JDKs as Java platforms for projects. If you used the old Apache NB14 installer you don't need to uninstall but you'll end up with multiple desktop launchers which might be confusing. Our community installers actually update over each other, so you don't need to uninstall those when updating. Best wishes, Neil
